Sirius Digitech Limited, a joint venture between the Adani Group and Sirius International Holding, has announced its acquisition of Coredge.io Private Limited, a cloud platform company. This strategic move aims to enhance Sirius Digitech’s ability to offer sovereign cloud services, allowing organizations to keep sensitive data within their national boundaries. The acquisition aligns with the growing demand for secure and scalable cloud solutions, particularly in light of increasing concerns about data security.
Coredge.io specializes in building complete solution stacks for sovereign data centers, offering services that range from bare metal servers to Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS). By integrating Coredge’s capabilities, Sirius Digitech plans to expand its service offerings, including Machine Learning as a Service (MLaaS), which will be supported by Coredge’s open-source technologies. This will empower organizations to leverage advanced AI services while maintaining control over their data.
Jeet Adani, Director of the Adani Group, highlighted the importance of sovereign data centers in protecting sensitive information and ensuring national security. As the demand for AI-driven computation continues to grow, retaining data within national borders becomes increasingly critical. The acquisition reflects a broader trend of prioritizing data security amid evolving regulatory and technological landscapes.
Arif Khan, CEO of Coredge.io, expressed optimism about the partnership, viewing it as an opportunity to accelerate the development of advanced AI services while adhering to principles of security, privacy, and digital sovereignty. This collaboration is expected to drive technological transformation for customers globally, enabling them to comply with their data ethics principles while benefiting from innovative cloud solutions.
