Prime Technological Services Reports Potential Data Breach

Prime Technological Services, LLC, a provider of electronics manufacturing services based in Georgia, recently reported to the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that sensitive personal identifiable information and protected health information it held might have been compromised in a security incident. While the company did not elaborate on the exact nature of the breach, it confirmed that the exposure affected various types of data depending on the individual. The compromised information could include individuals’ names and social security numbers, with Prime taking steps to notify those impacted.

Prime began mailing data breach notification letters to residents of Massachusetts:

In January 2025, Prime began mailing data breach notification letters to residents of Massachusetts who were affected by the incident. The letters included information about the nature of the breach and a list of the specific data that may have been exposed. As part of its efforts to mitigate the impact of the breach, Prime is offering those affected 24 months of complimentary identity monitoring services. This initiative aims to help individuals protect themselves from potential identity theft and other related issues stemming from the data exposure.

Prime is an electronics manufacturing services provider founded in 1989 and headquartered in Suwanee, Georgia. The company specializes in precision manufacturing of printed circuit board and system-level assemblies, catering to a range of industries. From simple commercial printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) to more complex designs involving Ball Grid Arrays (BGAs), Flip Chip, and Chip On-Board (COB) technologies, Prime has built a reputation for its advanced manufacturing capabilities. With over 200 employees, the company has grown to become a key player in the electronics manufacturing sector.

The breach, which exposed sensitive personal and health data, has raised concerns about the security of information held by companies in the electronics manufacturing industry. As the investigation into the incident continues, Prime is focused on addressing the security gaps that may have allowed the breach to occur. The company is working closely with cybersecurity experts and law enforcement to understand the full scope of the incident and prevent future occurrences. Prime’s swift response, including the offer of identity monitoring services, aims to reassure those affected by the breach and minimize any long-term impact.
