Heeler Security, a US-based application security startup, has raised $8.5 million in seed funding, led by Norwest Venture Partners and supported by Storm Ventures. The company, founded in 2023, focuses on helping organizations enhance application security without compromising efficiency.
The startup’s key offering, ProductDNA technology, provides real-time insights into code, behavior, and business context, allowing organizations to automate security risk assessments and prioritize their operations. This platform serves as a shared operating environment for both security teams and developers, ensuring continuous security throughout the application lifecycle.
ProductDNA also maps service relationships and dependencies, promotes collaboration, and eliminates false positives, providing real-time tracking of issues. This comprehensive approach aims to ensure holistic supply chain security and resilience in product development.
Heeler’s technology, already adopted by several Fortune 500 companies, will be available to the broader market in the fourth quarter. The funding will enable Heeler to capitalize on the market opportunity by offering a platform that secures the software development lifecycle at the intersection of application and cloud security.
