The breach occurred between March 4 and April 20, 2024, involving an employee’s email account. Allcare immediately launched an investigation to assess the nature of the incident and identify the affected individuals.
By May 23, 2024, Allcare confirmed that sensitive data, including names, Social Security numbers, contact information, dates of birth, medical record numbers, and health insurance details, may have been exposed. The data review completed on June 12, 2024, allowed Allcare to pinpoint the affected individuals and the specific types of information compromised.
Following this discovery, Allcare began sending data breach notification letters to those impacted by the breach. These letters informed individuals about the compromised data and offered complimentary credit monitoring services as a precautionary measure to help protect their personal and financial information from misuse.
