Zendata Raises $2M In Seed Funding

Zendata, a San Francisco-based company, has recently exited stealth mode with a $2 million seed funding round led by PayPal Ventures and other prominent investors. The funding is earmarked to further develop Zendata’s platform and expand its customer base. Specializing in data security and AI governance, Zendata offers a no-code platform designed to provide businesses comprehensive insights and control over their data usage, ensuring compliance, particularly in AI applications.

The company’s solutions encompass a range of tools including a website scanner for identifying and mitigating privacy risks, a privacy mapper to safeguard personally identifiable information (PII) across IT infrastructures, and a code scanner to detect PII vulnerabilities. Additionally, Zendata provides tools for managing website cookies, trackers, and handling data subject access requests (DSARs). Founded by Narayana Pappu and Pedro Pinango, Zendata emphasizes that its platform has been rigorously tested by major corporations, validating its robustness in data protection and compliance management.

Narayana Pappu, Zendata’s CEO, underscores the platform’s capabilities in detection, prevention, and correction controls integrated with privacy features, aimed at safeguarding sensitive organizational data and addressing legal and regulatory risks. With strong investor backing, Zendata plans to enhance its market presence, focusing on expanding its product offerings and reinforcing its position as a leading solution provider in AI governance, data privacy, and security. The company is poised to support organizations navigating the complexities of data management in the evolving digital landscape.
