Vooruit Brussels Website Hacked

On Thursday, April 18, 2024, the website of the Dutch-speaking socialist party Vooruit.brusselOn Thursday, April 18, 2024, the Dutch-speaking socialist party Vooruit.brussels was thrust into turmoil as its website fell victim to a malevolent cyber attack. The perpetrators, cloaked in digital anonymity, orchestrated the hijacking of the party’s online platform, forcing its abrupt removal from the internet. In a brazen display of audacity, the attackers brazenly issued ransom demands, dangling the prospect of data release in exchange for monetary compensation. However, Vooruit.brussels swiftly rebuffed such overtures, firmly asserting its refusal to capitulate to extortion tactics.
