Ukrainian Military Intelligence (HUR) conducted cyberattacks targeting Kremlin resources and Russian airports, leading to flight delays and diversions. The attacks were reportedly aimed at Domodedovo Airport, Gagarin Airport in Saratov, and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk’s airport. Flights, especially those bound for Sochi, Bodrum, and Moscow, were affected, with planes redirected to alternate airfields in Samara or Ulyanovsk.
Additionally, Ukrainian intelligence asserted control over the state server of the official website of the State Duma of the Stavropol Region. A banner featuring Red Square and Ukrainian flags with the message “Hold on, we will liberate you!” was displayed before the server was disabled. Furthermore, Ukrainian hackers targeted servers of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly and other Russian state authorities.
These cyber operations represent a continuation of previous Ukrainian attacks on Russian entities. On June 5, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (HUR MOU) conducted large-scale cyberattacks on Russian state institutions and major corporations. This escalation underscores the ongoing tensions and cyber warfare tactics between Ukraine and Russia.
