Trojan Paralysis Neuburg Office Rebounds

A Trojan horse attack has paralyzed the Neuburg-Schrobenhausen district office, rendering internet-based services inaccessible to employees. The malware, acting like a virus, specifically targeted the office’s ability to send and receive emails, prompting immediate disconnection of all connections as a security measure. This left the district office with internal communication only, disrupting crucial services such as the driving license office, which relies on access to the Bavarian authorities network—a connection rendered impossible by the Trojan.

In response to the incident, employees took proactive steps, informing citizens scheduled for appointments by telephone and maintaining limited telephone accessibility until the issue was addressed. Building technicians worked diligently throughout the day to combat the Trojan, aiming to restore normalcy to the district office’s operations. While the Trojan’s intrusion is concerning, the district office assures that no major data loss or damage to personal and internal information occurred during the attack. The office aims to resume normal operations by Wednesday morning, emphasizing the swift response and recovery efforts in place.
