ThreatMate Raises $3.2 M for Cyber Platform

ThreatMate, a cybersecurity startup based in Delaware, recently raised $3.2 million in seed funding to enhance its AI-powered attack surface management platform tailored for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). The funding round was led by Top Down Ventures’ Founders Fund I, with additional backing from Blu Ventures and Runtime Ventures. Founded in 2021, ThreatMate’s platform aims to provide small to medium-sized businesses with enterprise-grade cyber protection, offering comprehensive visibility into their attack surface. The AI-powered solution helps MSPs monitor, manage, and secure customers’ internal, external, and cloud environments from a single dashboard.

The platform’s features include continuous monitoring, vulnerability identification, and risk prioritization to mitigate potential threats before they can cause damage. ThreatMate’s solution also provides automated penetration testing, dark web monitoring, and cybersecurity audits to detect vulnerabilities early on. The system uses AI to simplify complex security tasks, making it easier for MSPs to deliver proactive security with lower complexity and cost compared to traditional enterprise solutions.

ThreatMate’s platform is designed to provide real-time analytics and streamline security management for MSPs. It allows MSPs to secure their customers’ systems through a combination of machine learning, automation, and centralized management. This enables businesses to reduce the risks associated with security breaches while enhancing their cybersecurity posture.

With its AI-driven approach, ThreatMate aims to revolutionize how MSPs manage the rapidly expanding attack surfaces of their clients.

The $3.2 million investment will be used to accelerate product development, expand the company’s go-to-market strategies, and foster industry partnerships. The company’s goal is to make its platform more accessible to MSPs by enhancing its capabilities and ensuring ease of operationalization. According to Top Down Ventures’ founding partner, Chris Day, ThreatMate’s platform effectively addresses the critical challenge of securing expanding digital environments, providing MSPs with a powerful tool to safeguard their customers from increasing cyber threats.
