Tech Data Expands Security with Orca Tech

Tech Data, a TD SYNNEX company, has acquired Orca Technology Pty Ltd, enhancing its IT Security capabilities in Australia and New Zealand. Orca Tech, recognized as a fast-growing player in the IT Security sector, brings a strong portfolio and specialized knowledge in IT security services. This acquisition will bolster Tech Data’s security offerings and expand its presence in the ANZ region.

Founded in 2017, Orca Tech is known for its rapid growth and expertise in IT security, providing technical, sales, and marketing services to resellers. The company’s strong reputation and success in the security marketplace make it a valuable addition to Tech Data’s portfolio. By integrating Orca Tech, Tech Data aims to enhance its security solutions and deliver greater value to customers and partners in the region.

The acquisition will allow Tech Data to leverage Orca Tech’s technical knowledge and capabilities, creating new opportunities for growth and innovation. Tech Data plans to expand its IT Security portfolio and streamline cloud transitions for Orca Tech’s partners, using its StreamOne Ion platform and other resources. This synergy will benefit both companies by combining their strengths and expanding their offerings.

Orca Tech’s General Manager, Craig Ashwood, expressed excitement about the opportunities ahead, including expanding their offerings and scaling operations. The collaboration is expected to enhance the IT channel ecosystem and provide new developmental opportunities for employees. Tech Data and Orca Tech are set to create a stronger, more integrated IT security presence in the market.
