Alliance Solutions Group, a subsidiary of TalentLaunch, disclosed a significant data breach to the Attorney General of Maine after uncovering unauthorized access to its computer network. The breach compromised sensitive consumer information, including names, Social Security numbers, and medical details. TalentLaunch promptly initiated investigations and began notifying affected individuals, aiming to mitigate potential harm from the breach. The incident underscores the ongoing threat of cybersecurity breaches and highlights the importance of robust security measures in safeguarding personal data.

TalentLaunch’s filing with the Attorney General of Maine sheds light on the circumstances leading to the breach, revealing suspicious activity identified within its IT network on May 31, 2023. External cybersecurity experts were enlisted to conduct a thorough investigation into the breach, confirming unauthorized access by an external actor to the company’s IT infrastructure. Upon completing the review process, TalentLaunch determined the extent of the breached information, including sensitive personal and financial data, which may have been accessed by the unauthorized party.

Affected individuals were promptly notified of the breach, with TalentLaunch issuing data breach notification letters to inform them of the compromised information. The breach letters provide victims with details of the specific data elements exposed and offer guidance on mitigating potential risks associated with the breach. Despite the breach, TalentLaunch remains committed to addressing the incident transparently and implementing measures to enhance its cybersecurity posture and protect consumer data from future breaches.

Alliance Solutions Group operates as part of TalentLaunch, a leading network of independently operated staffing and recruitment firms across the United States. With a diverse portfolio of companies under its umbrella, TalentLaunch serves as a prominent player in the employment services industry, employing over 210 individuals and generating substantial annual revenue.
