Stellantis Acquires CloudMade’s AI

Stellantis N.V. has announced the acquisition of CloudMade’s AI framework, machine learning models, and intellectual property rights, marking a significant move to bolster its STLA SmartCockpit and advance its Dare Forward 2030 software strategy. CloudMade’s pioneering AI technology promises to transform the automotive industry by enhancing in-car and mobility user experiences through advanced data analysis and personalization. As part of the acquisition, 44 engineers and software developers from CloudMade will join Stellantis, further augmenting its AI development capabilities and reinforcing its commitment to innovation.

The acquisition underscores Stellantis’ dedication to developing intelligent mobility solutions that prioritize customer satisfaction and safety. Leveraging CloudMade’s adaptable technology, Stellantis aims to accelerate the delivery of personalized features within its vehicles, ranging from predictive maintenance and diagnostics to personalized in-car experiences and optimized navigation. By integrating CloudMade’s software technology, Stellantis seeks to enhance its overall customer experience and deliver innovative solutions that make driving safer, easier, and more exciting for its customers.

CloudMade’s framework architecture enables Stellantis to maximize the value of data through personalized learning, fleet learning, and cohort learning approaches. These methodologies empower Stellantis to offer targeted features for fleet management, optimize mobile experiences, and introduce end-to-end navigation features. Moreover, the acquisition allows Stellantis to enhance data privacy and reduce risks of exposure by managing data for training models internally.
