Stefanini Grows Cyber Business With Protega

Stefanini Group continues its expansion into the global cybersecurity market with the acquisition of Protega, a leading security provider based in Brazil. This acquisition, marking technology M&A deal number 86 covered by MSSP Alert and ChannelE2E in 2024, underscores Stefanini’s dedication to strengthening its cybersecurity portfolio.

With 32,000 employees and a presence in over 2,000 cities across 41 countries, Stefanini is a prominent player in the IT industry. The company’s cybersecurity practice witnessed an impressive 80% growth last year, with projected revenue exceeding $40 million in 2024. Marco Stefanini, the founder and global CEO of Stefanini, emphasized the company’s aggressive investment plan, earmarking $200 million for acquisitions by 2026, with cybersecurity being a top priority.

Protega, with offices in Brazil and New York City, specializes in managed security services, software and hardware integration, and consultancy in governance, risks, and compliance. Luis Gestavo Pereira, co-founder and CEO of Protega, highlighted the strategic benefits of the union, emphasizing the enhanced capability, commercial strength, and internationalization of Stefanini’s cybersecurity platform.

Stefanini’s recent appointment of Orion Czarnecki as the head of cybersecurity for North America/Asia-Pacific further underscores its commitment to growth and success in the cybersecurity sector. The acquisition of Protega aligns with Stefanini’s broader strategy of exploring partnerships and acquisitions to expand its cybersecurity offerings and provide comprehensive services to clients worldwide.
