Despite the threat actor’s affiliation with Indonesia, as indicated by the attached Indonesian flag, a closer inspection reveals that the mentioned government websites, such as the Department of Justice and High Court of Punjab and Haryana, are currently functioning normally, showing no signs of the Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack claimed by the group.
The claimed cyberattack specifically targeted five prominent government websites, including the Department of Justice, High Court of Punjab and Haryana, UP Police, Intellectual Property India, and the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation. However, there is no evidence of disruptions on these sites as suggested by the threat actor. A DDoS attack, as described in the text, involves overwhelming a targeted server, service, or network with a flood of internet traffic, and despite the group’s claims, the functionality of the mentioned websites remains unaffected.
