SolarWinds SEM Vulnerability

On March 1, 2024, SolarWinds released a security advisory addressing vulnerabilities affecting SolarWinds Security Event Manager versions prior to 2023.4.1. It is crucial for users to take necessary precautions and ensure their products are safeguarded. The vulnerabilities could potentially expose systems to security risks, prompting the need for immediate action.

To mitigate these risks, SolarWinds recommends users to update their SolarWinds Security Event Manager to version 2023.4.1 or later. Additional information about the update can be found in the SEM 2023.4.1 release notes, accessible through the provided URL. The Guyana National Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) strongly advises users and administrators to review the security advisory and promptly apply the necessary updates. The security advisory, along with pertinent details, can be downloaded as a PDF from the provided link. For further insights and reference, users can consult the SolarWinds website [1] and the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security [2].
