SentinelOne, a leading cybersecurity firm based in Silicon Valley, has made a strategic move to enhance its cloud security capabilities through the acquisition of PingSafe. This undisclosed cash and stock transaction will see PingSafe’s cloud-native application protection platform integrated into SentinelOne’s Singularity Platform. The goal is to create a fully unified platform that not only improves cloud workload security but also enhances coverage, hygiene, and automation for businesses. The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of fiscal 2025, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

With this move, SentinelOne aims to provide its customers with a consolidated, best-of-breed security platform. The integrated solution will offer real-time, AI-powered security operations, ensuring comprehensive protection across endpoints, identities, and cloud environments. Ric Smith, Chief Product and Technology Officer at SentinelOne, highlighted the significance of PingSafe in delivering a compelling and cost-effective alternative to stand-alone CNAPP offerings.

PingSafe, a Bengaluru-based company, brings its cloud-native application protection platform into the mix. Known for integrating seamlessly into existing security frameworks, PingSafe offers businesses security controls, real-time threat intelligence, and streamlined vulnerability management. The acquisition aligns with SentinelOne’s mission to redefine cloud security, eliminating the complexity of multiple point solutions and offering a unified platform for managing the entire attack surface.
