Satty and Partners Data Breach Exposes Info

Satty, Levine & Ciacc, a mid-sized accounting firm based in Melville, New York, recently discovered a significant data breach involving sensitive personal information. The breach was identified when an unauthorized third party accessed data through a Satty & Partners ShareFile account on February 27, 2024. The firm launched an immediate investigation to understand the scope of the breach and to determine the extent of the data compromised.

The exposed information potentially includes a range of personal details such as names, Social Security numbers, contact information, driver’s license numbers, financial account numbers, bank account information, income details, and other tax return information. In response, Satty & Partners has been actively notifying individuals whose personal data may have been impacted by the breach.

As part of their response, Satty & Partners is working to mitigate the effects of the breach by informing affected individuals and providing guidance on protecting their personal information. The firm is also enhancing its security measures to prevent similar incidents in the future and to safeguard the sensitive data of their clients.

Founded in 1949, Satty & Partners offers a broad range of services including accounting, auditing, tax planning, and business consulting. The firm serves various industries such as automotive, real estate, and not-for-profits. With over 20 employees, Satty & Partners is committed to addressing the breach and continuing its role in providing comprehensive financial services to its clients.
