PVE recently discovered that it had experienced a data breach involving sensitive personal and protected health information. The breach was identified during an investigation, which revealed that an unauthorized third party accessed the information between February 19, 2024, and March 4, 2024.
The compromised data includes a range of sensitive details such as names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver’s license or state-issued ID numbers, passport numbers, green cards, and medical information. The exposure of this data poses significant risks to the affected individuals, including potential identity theft and misuse of personal and health information.
On June 7, 2024, PVE began notifying individuals whose information may have been impacted by the breach. The notifications are intended to inform affected parties of the incident and provide guidance on steps to protect themselves from potential harm.
PVE, a multi-discipline design firm headquartered in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, offers a variety of engineering and design services. The company operates across multiple locations in the United States and employs nearly 200 individuals. PVE is addressing the breach and taking measures to enhance its security protocols to prevent future incidents.
