Pentest People Recognized as NCSC Assured

Pentest People, a leading provider of Penetration Testing as a Service (PTaaS®) and cybersecurity solutions, proudly announces its accreditation as an Assured Service Provider in the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) Cyber Incident Exercising (CIE) scheme. This recent recognition sets Pentest People apart as one of the few companies in the UK entrusted with this status, enhancing their capability to conduct tailored, structured cyber incident exercises for businesses, charities, public sector, and government organizations. The initiative, run by the NCSC through its ‘Delivery Partners’ CREST and IASME, effectively connects organizations with reliable cybersecurity professionals for evaluating the resilience of their cyber incident response plans. Pentest People’s role as an assured CIE service provider involves delivering table-top discussions and live-play exercises, engaging relevant teams in evaluating their roles, responsibilities, and critical decision points outlined in the incident response plan. These activities are designed to rehearse, evaluate, and enhance cyber incident response plans focusing on incidents with the potential for significant operational, financial, and regulatory impact.

Ian Nicholson, the Incident Response Head at Pentest People, emphasizes the company’s dedication to safeguarding businesses beyond proactive measures. This achievement reinforces their commitment to providing industry-leading Cyber Security Incident Response Plans (CSIRP) designed to efficiently support businesses through breaches or cyber attacks. The focus remains on reducing damage, minimizing downtime, and offering swift and effective mitigation for organizations, emphasizing the critical importance of incident response planning in the face of evolving cyber threats.
