Parsons Corporation has successfully completed its acquisition of BlackSignal Technologies, LLC, for $200 million. This strategic move enhances Parsons’ customer base within the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community, while also strengthening its capabilities in cyber and electronic warfare. The acquisition is particularly significant as it adds new expertise in the counterspace radio frequency domain, a market expected to experience over 10% annual growth with double-digit profit margins.

BlackSignal, based in Chantilly, Virginia, leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to develop innovative signal processing techniques. These technologies are designed to detect and disrupt hard-to-access command and control systems and platforms. The company’s focus on national security challenges positions it well to address threats posed by near-peer adversaries in areas such as space, cyber, and electronic warfare.

With this acquisition, Parsons aims to further integrate BlackSignal’s capabilities into its Defense & Intelligence business unit. The integration aligns with Parsons’ strategy to acquire high-growth companies that exhibit revenue growth exceeding 10% and adjusted EBITDA margins. This approach is intended to bolster Parsons’ existing services and enhance its competitiveness in the defense sector.

The acquisition is consistent with Parsons’ long-term growth strategy and reflects its commitment to innovation in defense technology. By combining BlackSignal’s advanced signal processing capabilities with its own resources, Parsons is poised to offer enhanced solutions to its clients, addressing evolving national security threats more effectively.
