One Point Reports Breach Affecting Users

One Point HR Solutions, a professional staffing organization based in Lexington, Kentucky, recently reported a data breach to the Attorney General of Vermont, revealing that unauthorized access to its email environment may have exposed sensitive personal information. The breach was discovered after unusual activity was identified within One Point’s email system. Following the discovery, the company initiated an internal investigation to assess the scope of the breach and identify any compromised data. The investigation focused on determining whether personal identifiable information had been accessed by unauthorized individuals during the incident.

The breach specifically involved certain One Point email accounts, with the unauthorized access occurring between July 3, 2023, and February 14, 2024. As part of its review, the company found that sensitive data, including names and Social Security numbers, may have been exposed. One Point has been working diligently to identify the specific individuals affected and to determine the precise nature of the impacted data. The company emphasized that the information exposed may vary depending on the individual.

In response to the breach, One Point began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals on September 6, 2024. These letters included details on the type of sensitive information that may have been exposed. The company is also offering complimentary credit monitoring services to those affected in an effort to mitigate the potential risk associated with the breach. The company’s swift action to inform the affected individuals and provide credit monitoring reflects its commitment to addressing the issue.

One Point is headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, and serves a variety of industries through its staffing services. The company operates across multiple sectors, including logistics, medical, manufacturing, hospitality, and emergency response, among others. In addition to its core staffing business, One Point has nine specialized brands focused on different areas of the staffing industry. While the data breach incident is a significant concern, One Point continues to take steps to secure its systems and protect sensitive information moving forward.
