Name Badges LLC Notifies Customers of Breach

Name Badges, LLC has issued a notice to its customers regarding a potential data security incident that may have involved sensitive credit card information. The company was alerted to a possible breach by its credit card processing partner on May 9, 2024, prompting immediate action to investigate the situation. As part of this response, Name Badges engaged a third-party cybersecurity firm to conduct a comprehensive forensic investigation aimed at confirming whether any customer information had been compromised and identifying the specific data involved.

After an extensive forensic review and thorough manual document assessment, Name Badges, LLC discovered on July 17, 2024, that certain files potentially acquired by unauthorized parties might have contained customer information. While the company clarified that individual customer data was not specifically identified within the reported breach timeframe of December 6 to December 23, 2023, it chose to notify affected individuals as a precautionary measure. This proactive communication reflects the company’s commitment to transparency and the ongoing safety of its customers.

In light of this incident, Name Badges, LLC is encouraging its customers to take proactive steps to safeguard their personal information. Among the recommended measures are placing fraud alerts and security freezes on credit files, as well as obtaining free credit reports to monitor for any unusual activity. Customers are also urged to maintain a vigilant approach by regularly reviewing financial account statements and credit reports for any signs of fraudulent or irregular activity. These steps are essential in helping individuals protect themselves against potential misuse of their information.

The company expressed its sincere apologies for any distress or inconvenience that this incident may have caused, reaffirming its dedication to the privacy and security of personal information in its possession. Name Badges, LLC has implemented numerous measures to safeguard customer data, and it continues to evaluate and modify its internal practices and controls to enhance security. To assist customers further, a dedicated response line has been established, staffed by professionals knowledgeable about the incident and equipped to provide guidance on protecting personal data. This response line is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, ensuring that customers can access the support they need in navigating this situation effectively.
