Subsequently, NOVA OMS promptly notified the affected parties by mail on March 27, 2024, with detailed guidance on safeguarding their information.
While there is currently no evidence of misuse, NOVA OMS took proactive steps to inform impacted individuals about the incident and the protective measures they can take. The compromised data may include names, Social Security numbers, tax identification numbers, driver’s license details, dates of birth, patient IDs, medical records, and health insurance information, necessitating vigilance from those affected. To fortify network security and prevent future breaches, NOVA OMS has enforced additional safeguards and reported the incident to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), demonstrating a commitment to data protection and cybersecurity resilience.
