LightEdge, a prominent player in secure cloud and colocation services for nearly three decades, has announced its agreement to acquire Connectria, a leading provider of multi-cloud infrastructure solutions. Connectria serves over 400 customers with its managed hosting solutions, adding six data center locations to LightEdge’s existing footprint of 12 facilities across eight U.S. markets. This strategic move marks LightEdge’s fourth acquisition since GI Partners’ investment in 2021, reinforcing its position as a key player in the data center and cloud infrastructure sector.
Jim Masterson, CEO of LightEdge, emphasized the significance of this acquisition, stating that it positions LightEdge as one of the few providers offering hybrid colocation and tailored multi-cloud solutions. By extending their portfolio into public cloud services, LightEdge aims to enhance customer experience while integrating two talented teams and complementary product suites seamlessly. The acquisition aligns with LightEdge’s commitment to providing secure and compliant infrastructure solutions while catering to evolving customer needs.
Connectria CEO Amar Patel expressed confidence in the merger, highlighting the cultural alignment and shared focus on security between the two companies. Both LightEdge and Connectria are recognized for their strong company cultures, employee empowerment, and customer-centric approach. The acquisition is expected to facilitate continued growth for LightEdge, leveraging Connectria’s expertise in IBM, AWS, and Microsoft Azure public cloud hosting to expand their offerings and geographical reach.
