LG CNS Opens Cybersecurity Center in Vietnam

LG CNS, a digital transformation leader from South Korea, has launched its Security Technical Support Center in Hanoi, Vietnam. This initiative aims to pave the way for Korean security solution companies to enter the growing Vietnamese cybersecurity market. Many Korean firms have faced challenges expanding in Vietnam due to differing IT infrastructure and a lack of local support. The center will provide essential local technical support, helping these companies establish a stable presence and compete with global security firms.

The center will offer integrated security services to Vietnamese companies, giving them access to advanced security solutions from Korean providers. LG CNS is employing local security experts to ensure quick responses to any security issues, and is partnering with the FPT Group, a major Vietnamese IT company, to enhance their digital transformation (DX) efforts. This partnership, initiated in March 2024, will facilitate the development of a secure business environment and drive digital innovation in the region.

Additionally, LG CNS plans to guide Korean security firms on Vietnam’s legal requirements, such as ICT regulations, to reduce business risks. By collaborating with key Korean agencies, like KISA and NIPA, the company aims to help businesses navigate regulatory hurdles and operate smoothly in the Vietnamese market. This will ensure that security solutions are both compliant and effective in addressing Vietnam’s growing cybersecurity needs.

Seven prominent Korean security solution companies are already partnering with LG CNS in this venture, providing a range of services such as cloud and application security, vulnerability assessments, and firewall solutions. LG CNS intends to expand these partnerships further to deliver high-quality, cost-effective security services in Vietnam. With the Vietnamese cybersecurity market expected to grow at an annual rate of 26% over the next five years, this initiative positions LG CNS and its partners to capitalize on rising demand for advanced digital security solutions.
