Kali Linux 2023.4 Released

Kali Linux 2023.4, the latest release for ethical hackers and cybersecurity professionals, is now available, featuring GNOME 45 and 15 new tools. While core operating system features remain largely unchanged, the update emphasizes tool additions and introduces the GNOME 45 desktop environment. The new tools cover various aspects, including TAXII client implementation, Windows/Samba enumeration, email OSINT, post-exploitation command and control, and more.

Kali Linux enhances its deployment options with support for Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Hyper-V via Vagrant, and introduces a dedicated image for Raspberry Pi 5. The release highlights GNOME 45’s improvements, such as full-height sidebars, enhanced search speed in Nautilus file manager, and updated themes for shell, libadwaita, gtk-3, and gtk-4. The Kali Team has also incorporated new builds, offering deployment flexibility on different platforms. Users can upgrade existing installations or opt for fresh installations with ISO images. Kali Linux’s commitment to regular updates and the addition of relevant tools underscores its role as a leading Linux distribution in the field of cybersecurity.
