The types of personal information potentially compromised in the attack include names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, medical records, and health insurance information. JRC took immediate action to identify current addresses of individuals affected by the breach to ensure timely notification. On September 25, 2024, the center began sending out notifications to those impacted, offering essential details about the incident and guidance on protecting their personal information.
In the aftermath of the breach, JRC reported the incident to federal law enforcement and is cooperating fully with authorities to hold the perpetrators accountable. To bolster security and mitigate the risk of future incidents, the organization has implemented additional measures.
