Social Media Manager – Cybersecurity

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing our social media strategy, with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity content. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape and will use this knowledge to create compelling content, engage with our audience, and build our brand’s reputation as a thought leader in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy tailored to the cybersecurity industry.
    • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of social media campaigns.
  2. Content Creation:
    • Work with the team to create and curate high-quality, engaging content related to cybersecurity, including articles, infographics, videos, and podcasts.
    • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to generate technical content that translates complex concepts into accessible and engaging posts.
  3. Community Engagement:
    • Monitor and respond to social media interactions, fostering a positive and informative community atmosphere.
    • Engage with followers, industry influencers, and stakeholders to build and maintain relationships.
  4. Analytics and Reporting:
    • Track and analyze social media metrics to evaluate campaign performance and make data-driven decisions.
    • Prepare regular reports on social media activities, growth, and engagement metrics.
  5. Brand Management:
    • Ensure all social media content aligns with the company’s brand voice and messaging.
    • Maintain consistency across all social media channels.
  6. Trends and Innovations:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in social media and cybersecurity.
    • Experiment with new tools and techniques to improve social media performance.
    • Organize monthly online events and participate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Experience in lieu of degree.
  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager, preferably within the cybersecurity or technology sectors.
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity concepts, threats, and industry terminology.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.).
  • Experience working with Canva or graphic design tools
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with social media analytics and reporting tools.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent English Skills
  • India Full-time working Hours (Monday – Friday) – 4PM – 12AM Indian Time
  • Available to have 1 team call a day (during EST hours)
  • Candidates from other countries can still apply but must be able to work during EST hours and have a stable internet connection.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with digital marketing strategies and SEO.
  • Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and blogging platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
