IntelBroker, a renowned hacker, has claimed responsibility for hacking the Los Angeles International Airport’s CRM system by exploiting a vulnerability. The breach, reported by Hackread, occurred this month and marks another high-profile cyberattack by IntelBroker, known for previous breaches like DC Health Link and Volvo Cars. The hacker accessed a database containing sensitive information, including names, CPA numbers, and email addresses of private plane owners, affecting 2.5 million records.
Despite the breach, travelers were not affected, as IntelBroker clarified that the attack targeted a specific database related to private plane owners. The hacker disclosed the breach on BreachForums, asserting full responsibility and distancing themselves from any other individuals associated with the incident. This latest breach underscores the ongoing cybersecurity challenges faced by major organizations, highlighting the importance of robust security measures to protect sensitive data from malicious actors like IntelBroker.
