Hosanna Church Alerts Public on Data Breach

Hosanna Church notified individuals about a recent data security incident that may have compromised their personal information. The incident occurred on May 14, 2024, when unauthorized access to certain files was discovered after a network disruption on May 15, 2024. After identifying the breach, Hosanna engaged cybersecurity experts to investigate and confirmed that some of the affected files contained personal data. The church reassured individuals that there was no evidence to suggest misuse or attempted misuse of the compromised information.

The information exposed in the breach may have included various types of personal data, although the exact details varied by individual. Hosanna Church responded promptly by reviewing the files and securing its network to prevent further unauthorized access. The church also notified the Federal Bureau of Investigation and promised to cooperate fully with any resulting investigations. As part of their response, the church took steps to improve security measures to mitigate future risks.

In addition to securing its network, Hosanna Church offered free identity protection services to those affected by the breach. The services, provided through IDX, include credit monitoring, dark web monitoring, and a $1 million identity fraud loss reimbursement policy. Individuals impacted by the breach were encouraged to enroll in these services to protect their personal information from potential misuse.

Hosanna Church emphasized its commitment to safeguarding personal data and working diligently to prevent similar incidents in the future. With the investigation ongoing, the church’s priority remains on securing its systems and supporting those affected by the breach. Individuals were also encouraged to take steps to protect their personal information and enroll in the identity protection services offered by the church.
