Jupiter Exchange Targeted by Scam Token Hack

On January 19, 2025, Hikari Seiko Co., Ltd. experienced a ransomware attack, which targeted several of its servers. The company acted quickly to isolate the infected servers and disconnect networks to minimize the impact on its operations. Although some systems were compromised, there was no disruption to production activities due to the prompt response. The company began working with security experts and reported the incident to local authorities, including the Mie Prefecture Police, to assist with the investigation.

Investigations into the breach have confirmed that the attack vector has largely been identified, although inquiries are still ongoing to determine if any sensitive data was leaked. The company has maintained a transparent approach, regularly updating stakeholders about the situation and committing to providing further details once the investigation has progressed. Despite the ongoing inquiries, Hikari Seiko has ensured that there is no immediate impact on its day-to-day business operations.

The ransomware attack appears to have been contained swiftly, with the affected servers isolated and production resuming from other secure systems.

Hikari Seiko has emphasized its efforts to minimize damage by quickly detecting the attack and taking appropriate security measures. These efforts were vital in preventing further compromise, and the company has assured its partners and customers that the production process remains intact without significant delays.

Hikari Seiko has expressed its commitment to strengthening security measures going forward. The company acknowledged the inconvenience and concern the attack may have caused to stakeholders and has apologized for any disruptions. With investigations continuing, Hikari Seiko remains focused on ensuring the integrity of its systems and reinforcing its cybersecurity defenses to prevent similar incidents in the future.
