Global Deepfake Detection Challenge 2024

The Global Multimedia Deepfake Detection Challenge 2024 was officially launched on July 1, 2024. Co-hosted by the INCLUSION•Conference on the Bund and Ant Group, and organized by Ant Digital Technologies, the competition boasts a substantial prize pool of 1,000,000 RMB (approximately $137,000). The challenge is designed to advance the development and testing of effective detection models for deepfake attacks in various real-world scenarios.

The competition is divided into two tracks: one for image detection and one for audio/video detection. Participants are required to work with a comprehensive dataset featuring over 1 million samples, aimed at developing AI models that can accurately predict deepfake instances. The top 20 models from each track will be selected for the final round, where they will be evaluated by a panel of experts based on accuracy, generalizability, innovation, practicality, and interpretability.

The top three teams from each track will be invited to the 2024 INCLUSION•Conference on the Bund in Shanghai. At the conference, they will be honored at an award ceremony and will compete in an exhibition match. The challenge aims to not only improve the detection of deepfakes but also to inspire innovative defense strategies and enhance recognition accuracy.

Key partners in the challenge include the Advanced Technology Exploration Community (ATEC), the Cybersecurity College of the University of Science and Technology of China, and Ant Security Lab. Technical support will be provided by ZOLOZ, while Alibaba Cloud will offer the necessary computing power to support the competition.
