Galloway Reports Possible Data Access

Galloway & Company, Inc. has recently notified individuals about a potential data breach that may have affected their personal information. The company, committed to protecting the privacy of information, reported that unauthorized activity was detected within its computer systems around April 1, 2024. In response, Galloway quickly secured its network and engaged third-party forensic investigators to assess the incident’s full scope. By June 26, 2024, the investigation revealed that a limited amount of personal information might have been accessed by an unauthorized party.

Despite the discovery, Galloway has found no evidence suggesting that the accessed information has been misused. The company is taking a cautious approach by informing affected individuals and providing details about the incident. The types of information potentially compromised include names and other personal data, although specifics about the data elements were not disclosed. Galloway’s proactive communication aims to allow individuals to take protective measures if they deem necessary.

To address the breach, Galloway has implemented immediate measures to secure its systems and enhance network security. These steps include reinforcing security protocols to prevent similar incidents in the future. The company’s response reflects its commitment to safeguarding personal information and mitigating any potential risks associated with the breach.

Galloway’s notification also underscores its dedication to transparency and customer protection. While the investigation continues, the company is offering guidance on how individuals can safeguard their personal information. This includes steps to monitor and protect against potential misuse, even though there is no current evidence of such misuse.
