The community of communes of Gevrey-Chambertin and Nuits-Saint-Georges recently faced a severe cyberattack, which paralyzed their administrative systems. This attack resulted in the complete shutdown of application servers and telephony services, severely hampering their ability to deliver essential services. To mitigate the impact, community members were urged to utilize email communication channels, with specific addresses provided for different departments. Despite alternative communication options and physical reception availability, the Regional Cybersecurity Center and associated partners were swiftly mobilized to address the breach and restore normal operations.
Efforts are underway to restore functionality and ensure that community services can resume promptly. While telephony services have been reinstated, some challenges may persist. Nevertheless, the community remains resilient, with dedicated teams working diligently to rectify the situation. Regular updates will be provided to keep stakeholders informed of progress and any further developments.
