Enroll Confidently recently reported a data breach to the California Attorney General, acknowledging that sensitive personal identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) may have been accessed by an unauthorized party. The breach was detected on February 13, 2024, when the company noticed unusual activity within its network. This prompted an investigation to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation revealed that sensitive personal information, including Social Security numbers and health-related data, might have been compromised.

The compromised information varies depending on the individual, but generally includes names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account details, and medical or health insurance information. Enroll Confidently immediately began reviewing the data to identify the individuals affected by this breach. The company has since taken measures to inform those impacted about the specific types of sensitive information involved in the incident.

On August 16, 2024, Enroll Confidently sent data breach notification letters to all impacted individuals. As part of its response to the breach, the company is providing 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring services to help those affected safeguard their personal information. These services aim to assist individuals in monitoring their credit reports and provide support in case of any fraudulent activity resulting from the breach.

Enroll Confidently, an Arizona-based HR support company headquartered in Scottsdale, focuses on enhancing efficiency in benefits management and employee data processes. The company offers services that span the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding and benefits enrollment to payroll management and carrier reporting. Despite this breach, Enroll Confidently continues to prioritize the security of employee data and work toward ensuring its platform’s safety and reliability.
