Dohman, Akerlund and Eddy Breach

On February 28, 2024, Dohman, Akerlund & Eddy, LLC (DA&E) experienced a network disruption that resulted in a data security incident. Upon discovering the disruption, immediate steps were taken to secure the network environment. DA&E engaged cybersecurity experts to investigate the incident thoroughly. The investigation concluded that certain files containing personal information may have been compromised on or around February 28, 2024. After an extensive review, it was determined on April 1, 2024, that some personal information, including names and Social Security numbers, was involved in the compromised data set.

In response to this incident, DA&E implemented additional security measures to reduce the risk of similar incidents occurring in the future. The company also notified the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is cooperating fully to help hold the perpetrators accountable. To assist those affected, DA&E is offering complimentary CyEx credit monitoring and identity protection services through Epiq, a global leader in technology services. Affected individuals can enroll in these services at no cost by following the instructions provided in the notification letter.

To enroll in the CyEx Identity Defense program, recipients should visit the specified enrollment website and enter their unique activation code. After creating an account and providing necessary personal information, users can complete the enrollment process and access the identity protection dashboard. The deadline to enroll in these complimentary services is provided in the letter, and recipients are encouraged not to discard the letter as it contains the activation code needed for enrollment.

For additional information on protecting personal information and to address any questions or concerns, individuals can contact Epiq representatives who are available Monday through Friday, 9 am to 9 pm Eastern time. The representatives are fully informed about the incident and can provide detailed assistance to ensure affected individuals receive the necessary support and guidance during this time.
