In response to the incident, Datamate has made significant changes to enhance its data security. The company migrated customer data to a secure, cloud-based platform with multifactor authentication and encryption. It also upgraded its IT systems, implemented enhanced network monitoring and security measures, and provided cybersecurity training to its employees.
To assist those affected, Datamate is offering 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft restoration services through Cyberscout. While the company is covering the cost of these services, individuals must activate them following the provided instructions.
