DataGuard Buys DPOrganizer to Boost Security

DataGuard, a leading SaaS company specializing in security and compliance, has announced its acquisition of DPOrganizer, a Stockholm-based privacy management solution. This move expands DataGuard’s presence, particularly in the Nordic region and the UK, and bolsters its market position in Europe and North America. DataGuard, which serves over 4,000 customers across 50 countries, will benefit from DPOrganizer’s robust privacy management capabilities.

DPOrganizer provides comprehensive tools for privacy professionals, including data mapping, incident management, and data protection impact assessments. These features help organizations comply with regulations, manage risks, and ensure data security. Integrating these capabilities into DataGuard’s platform will enhance its offering, allowing companies to better navigate evolving regulatory requirements and manage their security and compliance needs.

Thomas Regier, co-founder and co-CEO of DataGuard, views the acquisition as a significant milestone in the company’s growth journey. He highlights that the integration will enhance DataGuard’s system-of-record for security and compliance, moving beyond simple certifications to a more comprehensive risk management approach. This expansion aligns with DataGuard’s strategy to incorporate advanced technologies and broaden its geographic reach.

Kivanc Semen, co-founder and co-CEO at DataGuard, and Egil Bergenlind, co-founder of DPOrganizer, emphasize that the partnership will bring together their expertise and technology. This collaboration aims to bridge the gap between security and compliance, providing customers with a unified platform that addresses both areas effectively. The combined capabilities are expected to deliver a superior experience and meet the growing demands for comprehensive security and compliance solutions.
