Data Breach at Anderson Feazel Management

On August 30, 2024, Anderson Feazel Management, Inc. (Anderson) issued a notice informing affected individuals about a serious data breach that occurred on July 31, 2024. The breach involved unauthorized access to the company’s computing systems, resulting in the exfiltration of unencrypted financial documents. These documents contained sensitive personal information, including names, Social Security numbers, addresses, salary details, and tax return documents. The breach was detected on August 1, 2024, prompting Anderson to take immediate action.

Upon discovering the breach, Anderson promptly engaged federal and state law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, to investigate the incident. The company also took steps to restore its systems securely by enforcing password changes and enhancing security monitoring. To address the breach comprehensively, Anderson enlisted an independent expert to conduct a full forensic investigation, aiming to understand the attack vector, the extent of the breach, and to assist in remediation efforts.

In response to the incident, Anderson is bolstering its security measures by upgrading monitoring systems, conducting thorough security reviews, and implementing new safeguards and policies. The company is committed to protecting the privacy and security of its systems and the information contained within them. As part of its response, Anderson is providing affected individuals with 12 months of credit monitoring and identity protection services through Equifax. A separate letter will be sent to provide the necessary information to enroll in these services.

Anderson emphasizes the importance of remaining vigilant and encourages those affected to take additional steps to safeguard their identities. The company is committed to transparency and will continue to update affected individuals as more information becomes available. For further details and resources on protecting personal information, individuals are advised to review the additional resources included in the notification letter.
