Rheinische Post media group experienced a cyber attack causing disruptions in online news portals, including Rheinische Post, Saarbrücker Zeitung, Aachener Zeitung, and others. Circ IT, the in-house IT service provider, faced technical issues after a supply chain attack on Friday evening. While some portals display a general disruption message, efforts are underway to restore services. The company assures that no user data has been accessed, and external IT security experts are collaborating to ensure a secure return to operations.

Circ IT, the in-house IT service provider, fell victim to a supply chain attack, paralyzing the news portals. While users encounter disruption messages, the media group is actively working with external IT security experts to address the technical problems and resume normal services.

The cyber attack on Rheinische Post media group led to technical malfunctions at Circ IT, impacting online portals and print editions.
