Crooker recently experienced a security incident that disrupted access to some of its systems. Upon discovering the issue, the company quickly secured its systems and initiated an investigation with the help of independent digital forensics and incident response experts. This investigation revealed that personal information may have been impacted by the breach.
The potentially affected information includes names, Social Security numbers, and employee details. Despite the exposure, Crooker has found no evidence of misuse or attempted misuse of the compromised data. The company is committed to enhancing its digital security to prevent future incidents and has informed the Federal Bureau of Investigation to aid in the investigation.
In response to the incident, Crooker is offering affected individuals complimentary identity protection services through IDX. These services include credit and dark web monitoring, a $1 million identity fraud loss reimbursement policy, and full identity theft recovery support.
Individuals must enroll in these services by September 24, 2024, to benefit from the protection offered. IDX will assist in resolving any issues if personal identities are compromised, providing an additional layer of security and support.
