The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has taken a significant step in enhancing the security of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) by releasing two vital advisories on September 5, 2023.

Furthermore, these advisories serve as a crucial source of up-to-date information regarding security issues, vulnerabilities, and potential exploits related to ICS. The first advisory, ICSA-23-248-01, addresses concerns regarding the Fujitsu Limited Real-time Video Transmission Gear IP series, while the second, ICSMA-23-248-01, focuses on the Softneta MedDream PACS Premium system. Both advisories are designed to keep users and administrators well-informed about the latest threats and offer guidance on how to mitigate these risks effectively.

In an effort to bolster ICS security, CISA strongly encourages all users and administrators involved with ICS to thoroughly review these newly released advisories. These documents contain essential technical details and recommended mitigations that can help organizations safeguard their ICS environments.

By staying informed and implementing the suggested security measures, users can proactively protect their ICS systems from potential vulnerabilities and threats. CISA’s commitment to providing timely and critical information underscores the agency’s dedication to maintaining the security and reliability of ICS infrastructure.

It’s important to note that these advisories and their related information are provided subject to CISA’s Notification and Privacy & Use policy. Adhering to these guidelines ensures responsible and secure use of the information provided, reinforcing the importance of maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of ICS-related data.
