Corelight Raises $150M for AI Security

Corelight, a network detection and response (NDR) company, has raised $150 million in a Series E funding round, bringing its total funding to $310 million. This latest investment was led by Accel, with additional support from Cisco Investments and the CrowdStrike Falcon Fund. The substantial funding aims to propel Corelight’s growth and innovation in the cybersecurity sector.

Based in San Francisco, Corelight provides a network traffic analysis platform that aids organizations in identifying malicious activities and accelerating their response to threats. The company was founded by the creators of Zeek, a renowned network security technology, and is known for delivering comprehensive network visibility and ground truth evidence of adversarial activity.

Corelight’s NDR platform is widely used by elite cybersecurity teams, major government agencies, Fortune 500 companies, and large universities. The platform’s robust capabilities help these organizations enhance their security posture by providing deep insights into network traffic and potential threats. This widespread adoption underscores the platform’s effectiveness and reliability.

With the new funding, Corelight plans to accelerate AI-driven security innovation and enhance its cloud-native security capabilities. The company will also invest in partnerships with other cybersecurity platforms to broaden its reach and impact. Corelight CEO Brian Dye highlighted the company’s mission to provide unparalleled network visibility and support advancements in AI-driven security operations, cloud visibility, and next-generation SIEM platforms.
