Combined Systems Inc, located in New Hampshire, has reported a significant data breach involving the unauthorized access to sensitive personal identifiable information within its systems. The breach was detected on February 10, 2023, prompting the company to initiate an investigation to understand the scope and nature of the incident. As a result of this inquiry, Combined Systems discovered that personal information may have been accessed and potentially acquired by unauthorized individuals.

The investigation led by Combined Systems revealed that sensitive personal data, though not publicly detailed, could include names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, and financial account information. Following the completion of this review on January 31, 2024, the company took measures to identify which individuals were specifically affected by the breach. The precise nature of the exposed information has not been disclosed to the public, adhering to the guidelines set by state reporting regulations regarding personal information.

On August 2, 2024, Combined Systems began notifying the impacted individuals through data breach notification letters. The notifications are designed to inform affected residents of New Hampshire about the nature of the breach and the specific types of sensitive information that may have been compromised. In addition to the notification, the company is offering complimentary credit monitoring services to those affected, aiming to help mitigate potential risks associated with identity theft or fraud.

This incident underscores the ongoing challenges companies face in safeguarding sensitive data in an increasingly digital world. Combined Systems is actively working to ensure the security of its systems and to reassure clients and stakeholders of its commitment to data protection. The company’s proactive response, including notifying affected individuals and providing credit monitoring services, reflects an effort to uphold transparency and accountability in light of the breach.
