College Park Industries recently experienced a data security incident, detected around January 24, 2024. An unauthorized third party accessed information on a College Park server. Although the incident involved personal information, there is currently no evidence suggesting that this data has been misused or published.
The compromised data potentially includes employees’ names, email addresses, physical addresses, dates of birth, social security numbers, and health insurance opt-ins. Importantly, financial account details, passwords, and healthcare information were not involved in the breach.
In response, College Park took immediate steps to secure their systems and prevent further threats. They engaged a cybersecurity firm to assess and address the breach, and have implemented additional safeguards to protect their data environments.
As a precautionary measure, College Park is offering affected employees a free one-year subscription to Aura’s Identity Defense Total. This service includes credit monitoring, dark web monitoring, and identity theft protection to help mitigate any potential risks from the incident.
