CISA ICS Advisory Updates

May 5, 2023
Reading Time: 2 mins read
in Alerts

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has released a new advisory for Industrial Control Systems (ICS) on May 4, 2023. The advisory provides the latest information about vulnerabilities, exploits, and security issues related to ICS. CISA is encouraging users and administrators to review this advisory to stay informed and to take appropriate measures to protect their ICS systems.

The updated advisory, ICSA-22-263-03 Dataprobe iBoot-PDU (Update A), is a follow-up to the original advisory titled ICSA-22-263-03 Dataprobe iBoot-PDU, which was published on September 20, 2022, on the ICS webpage of cisa.gov/ICS. The advisory provides information about the security vulnerabilities found in the iBoot-PDU product by Dataprobe, a device used to remotely monitor and manage power distribution in data centers and other facilities.

The release of the advisory is part of CISA’s ongoing efforts to provide timely and relevant information to users and administrators of ICS systems. The agency recognizes the importance of protecting these systems as they are critical to the infrastructure of many organizations and industries. CISA urges users and administrators to review the advisory and take the necessary steps to mitigate any risks posed by the vulnerabilities.

CISA’s efforts are in line with the growing concern over the security of ICS systems. As more organizations rely on these systems to operate their critical infrastructure, the need for increased security measures becomes even more pressing.

CISA’s advisory serves as a reminder of the importance of regular security assessments, updates, and patches to mitigate potential threats.
