CISA Ensures Super Tuesday Security

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) is actively coordinating efforts with partners to ensure security and resilience for Super Tuesday, a crucial national-level election day encompassing primary elections and caucuses across various states and a U.S. territory. Recognizing its role in supporting state and local election officials, CISA is establishing an Election Operations Center on Tuesday. This center serves as a hub for federal, state, and local officials, as well as the private sector, to exchange real-time threat intelligence, enhancing election security measures.

CISA Director Jen Easterly emphasizes the extensive preparations undertaken by election officials throughout the year to ensure the safety and security of the electoral process. Easterly expresses gratitude to the dedicated state and local election officials and thousands of poll workers, acknowledging their indispensable contributions as public servants and heroes. By standing alongside these officials, CISA reaffirms its commitment to bolstering election security, instilling confidence in the American people regarding the integrity and resilience of the 2024 elections.

Elections are predominantly administered at the state and local levels, underscoring the importance of comprehensive coordination across federal agencies and collaboration with the private sector. CISA’s holistic approach aims to provide whole-of-nation support to election officials, ensuring a unified defense against potential threats to the electoral process. Moreover, CISA encourages Americans to rely on their respective state and local election officials as trusted sources of information and official election results.
