Bandolier Style has notified customers of a data breach affecting transaction information. On May 7, 2024, Bandolier discovered unusual checkout activity on its online store and found that unauthorized software had impacted transactions from March 26, 2024, through May 7, 2024. This software potentially captured customers’ names, credit card numbers, expiration dates, CVV codes, billing addresses, and shipping addresses.
The breach involved unauthorized software affecting Bandolier’s online store checkout process. Although Bandolier has not confirmed any actual misuse of credit card information, it has taken the precaution of notifying customers. The company has initiated an investigation with third-party specialists and has secured administrative access to the online store to prevent further issues.
In response to the breach, Bandolier has enhanced its security measures and is offering affected individuals complimentary credit monitoring and fraud assistance services provided by Cyberscout, a TransUnion company. These services include alerts for changes to credit files and proactive fraud assistance for 12 months.
Bandolier advises customers to monitor their credit card statements for any suspicious activity and report unauthorized transactions immediately. The company encourages affected individuals to enroll in the free credit monitoring and identity protection services offered and has provided instructions for doing so.
