Vili’s Family Bakery, based in Adelaide, Australia, encountered a cyber attack on February 15, where hackers infiltrated the company’s digital infrastructure, including ordering systems, invoicing platforms, and email accounts. The extent of the breach’s impact remains uncertain, raising concerns about potential compromises to sensitive information belonging to suppliers, staff, and customers. While an official statement is absent from Vili’s website, the bakery’s spokesperson informed The Adviser about the incident, assuring customers that they’ve been promptly notified.

Although specific details regarding the cyber attack’s repercussions are still under investigation, the unauthorized access to internal systems poses significant risks of data exposure. Investigators are diligently working to assess the full scope of the breach and its implications, emphasizing the importance of proactive cybersecurity measures in safeguarding sensitive information. Despite the disruption caused by the incident, Vili’s Bakery expresses gratitude to its loyal customers for their patience and understanding throughout the ongoing investigation.

Vili’s Bakery acknowledges the severity of the cyber incident and is collaborating closely with IT providers and cybersecurity experts to analyze the breach and mitigate its consequences. Additionally, the bakery has prioritized communication with both customers and staff, ensuring transparent updates on the evolving situation and its impact on operations.
