Attack Disrupts Ainsworth Game Technology

Ainsworth Game Technology (AGT), an Australia-based supplier of gaming machines, confirmed a cybersecurity incident on November 27, 2024, that disrupted its internal operations. While specific details regarding the attack remain undisclosed, the company assured stakeholders that it would not have a significant long-term impact on its operations. AGT has taken precautionary measures to contain the issue and mitigate any further risks, with its IT team actively investigating the breach.

The attack, which affected internal systems, led to temporary disruptions in AGT’s operations. The company emphasized that it is working swiftly to restore services and secure its networks. Although the incident has caused some operational setbacks, AGT stated that there is no indication of a material effect on its overall business outlook for the second half of 2024.

In addition to its cybersecurity efforts, AGT has maintained a focus on addressing the impact of the breach on its daily operations. It has reassured employees and stakeholders that the company’s response measures are designed to minimize downtime and ensure a smooth recovery process. Despite the setback, AGT remains confident that it will recover quickly and continue its strategic initiatives.

CEO Harald Neumann expressed his commitment to maintaining the company’s growth trajectory, despite the cybersecurity challenge. He emphasized that AGT’s proactive development initiatives, including new game releases and hardware innovations, will continue to drive long-term expansion. With the ongoing investigation and response efforts, AGT aims to overcome the disruption and continue performing strongly in the months ahead.
